Microcrystalline Glass/Glass Ceramics/Optical Glass
Microcrystalline ceramic glass is a composite material in which base glass forms a uniform microcrystalline phase (the crystal size is usually nanometer to micrometer level) under specific heat treatment. The crystal accounts for 50% to 95%, and the rest is glass matrix.
Microstructure:
It is composed of fine grains (such as β-quartz solid solution, spodumene crystals) interwoven with residual glass, giving the material high strength and low thermal expansion.
Applications
It can be used to make reflectors for precision optical instruments, grating rulers for high-precision CNC machine tools, grating brackets for optical communications, high-temperature observation windows, high-temperature electric light source glass, projector lampshades, etc.
